Cowboys fans are happy today. Redskins fans are depressed. My team, The Washington Redskins, blew a golden opportunity last night and faithful Redskin fans know it.
If the Redskins could've pulled out a win last night the fates of the Dallas Cowboys would've been sealed. Just one more Redskin touchdown and the Cowboys would've been chilling at home watching the playoffs on their big screen tv's. That touchdown never happened and now nothing is certain.
Don't get me wrong, the Cowboys might still miss the playoffs, but because of a 4Th quarter Skins let down, we won't be able to claim credit if the Cowboys do fall short of a playoff birth, and not being able to kick the Cowboys in the baby-maker when they're down; well that hurts. It really hurts.
I know it's all about who won and who lost, but I think I speak for all Redskins fans when I say it was a thing of beauty seeing Fred Smoot upend Terrell Owens. Yes, we lost a heart-breaker last night, but for a brief moment all was right with the world and it was good.
Walk it off Washington, it's onto Seattle to work out our frustrations and right about now, we've gotta lot of frustration.
